In March 2020, I, along with many other Americans, lost my job due to COVID-19. I told myself I would take some time to reset and start looking for a new job once things got back to “normal”. Fast forward to August 2020 and I found myself applying for jobs along with 300+ other applicants. Starting to feel hopeless, I was afraid I would have to start over in an entirely new field. After working in the fashion industry for 12 years, it was all I knew and it was my passion since I was a young girl who spent her days designing evening gowns with dreams J Lo would one day wear them.
